A Note About Our Wedding Plans
Sometimes world events require us to make a change of course and unfortunately, this is one of those times.
We were so excited to celebrate our wedding with you this August 25th in Lebanon—whether you were to attend in person or virtually. Because your support has meant the world to us.
However, the situation in Lebanon has rapidly degraded due to Israeli aggression. With near-daily ceasefire violations from this expansionist neighbor who shamelessly disregards innocent lives under a regime bent on destruction and domination, we can no longer in good conscience, ask loved ones to travel to Lebanon.
We’re closely monitoring the region and remain hopeful for a peaceful resolution.
Our current plan is to reschedule the wedding celebration in six months, in February 2026! Hopefully this is enough time for the situation to return to some sense of normalcy and for the country and the region to rebound from the ongoing destruction. At least this is our hope.
If it doesn’t look like it is possible, we will have to call an audible, and we do have some options, so please be sure to keep your passport at the ready. Thank you for your understanding, as your safety is of the utmost importance to us.
For updates on when the wedding will be rescheduled, please enter your email into either RSVP form below (if you haven’t already).
Again, we deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we are so grateful for your patience, love, and understanding.
With gratitude,
Shehzad & Eimanne

IT’S KISMET
By some beautiful twist of fate, our paths converged—and from that moment on, we left our respective coasts to forge a new journey,
ready to make the world our own— together.
It began with a cross-country trek, accompanied by our beloved furry friends, which brought us to the unexpected charm of Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
We braved two bone-chilling winters on the banks of Lake Michigan, in our curious and character-filled town.
Despite the snow,
it was a
fruitful time!
We built up our businesses and witnessed many spectacular sunrises over the lake.
And whenever Spring sprang, we reveled in renewed energy and gratitude for God's great, big, beautiful world.
Then we got ENGAGED!!!!
Loved ones near and far rejoiced with us, sharing in the happiness of our news.
And we set off once more, bidding farewell to the Midwest and embracing
the road ahead.
Arriving at the threshold of a new beginning: the gateway to Japan.
Where we met many friends, old and new.
And bought our first house!
We’re so grateful for the friends and family who have been a part of our journey so far.
As our train leaves the station toward a destination called "Marriage", and we feel the tracks of life rumble beneath us — we see that it's a beautiful path built on faith, laughter, and the support of those we hold dear.
So, with the wind at our backs and our hearts full of joy, we're shouting "full speed ahead!" into this next chapter.
We would be honored for you to join us in celebrating this incredible journey — because every adventure is made richer when shared with the ones we hold dear.

Absolutely. Our wedding isn’t just a one-day celebration—it’s a multi-day destination experience.
A few days before the wedding, on August 22nd or 23rd (TBA), we’ll kick things off with a traditional Katb Ketab engagement celebration, marking the official Islamic marriage signing in a beautiful and meaningful ceremony.
In the days leading up to the big day, we’ll also be hosting:
❤️ A Henna Party – Our version of a bridal shower, just for the ladies and featuring beautiful henna traditions.
💛 The Groom’s Gathering – A celebration for the guys to unwind and enjoy some good company (and probably cigars) before the wedding.
Beyond the wedding events, we’ll be exploring the best Lebanon has to offer—from the vibrant streets of Beirut to the breathtaking landscapes along the Litani River.
Some probable activities on our Lebanon Itinerary:
Cedars of God – Walk among Lebanon’s ancient cedar trees, referenced in the Bible as a symbol of strength and beauty that has stood for thousands of years.
Al Raouché Rocks – Take in the stunning view of these iconic seaside rock formations rising from the Mediterranean in Beirut.
Our Lady of Lebanon – Visit the famous hilltop shrine in Harissa featuring a towering and majestic Virgin Mary. This lookout offers panoramic views and a peaceful retreat above the coast.
Jeita Grotto – Marvel at one of the world’s most impressive cave systems, with underground rivers and breathtaking limestone formations.
Baalbek – Explore the awe-inspiring Roman ruins, home to the grand Temple of Jupiter and some of the best-preserved ancient architecture.
Byblos – Step into one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, filled with charming streets, a historic harbor, and incredible seafood.
Donkey Ride to the River – Experience a scenic ride down to the Litani River for some fresh caught fish and riverside hookah with the locals.
Dining Under a Waterfall – Enjoy an unforgettable meal at a hidden gem where tables sit right in the flowing water—a perfect way to cool off while indulging in delicious Lebanese cuisine.
Whether you want to relax under the Mediterranean, soak up history at ancient Roman ruins, get lost in a bustling market, or enjoy mouth-watering riverside food, there will be plenty to experience.

This depends on your nationality. U.S. citizens can generally obtain a one-month tourist visa on arrival in Lebanon at Beirut International Airport. We recommend checking with your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date travel requirements.
-
Taxis and ride-sharing services are widely available in Lebanon, but our guests just have to get themselves to the Beirut International Airport and we'll take care of your transportation from there.
-
Dress to impress! Our wedding will be Formal, meaning guests are encouraged to dress elegantly. Men can opt for a suit, while women can wear a long gown, a chic cocktail dress, or an elegant pantsuit.
Dress code for our Katb Ketab party (taking place on August 22nd or 23rd) will be garden party formal.
Since August in Lebanon can be quite hot and humid, we recommend choosing light, breathable fabrics to stay comfortable while looking your best. Think linen or lightweight wool for suits and flowy dresses for an effortlessly stylish look—but most importantly, bring your best dancing shoes!
A Note for Women: Lebanon is a diverse country, but it is also culturally conservative in some areas. Out of respect for local customs, we kindly ask that women opt for more modest attire, such as dresses that aren’t too short or revealing. You can still bring the glamour—just with a touch of elegance and cultural awareness.
-
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest present we could ask for. We appreciate the effort it takes to be at our destination wedding in Lebanon, so gifts are not necessary or expected— celebrating together is more than enough!
